Busy end of the year…

Between doing the 7th season of ‘Zone Stad‘ and mixing and editing international versions of seasons 4 and 5 of that same show, some good news arrived in the electronic mail today. Two of the documentaries i mixed got awarded a prize recently. ‘Eenentwintig + zeven‘ by Kenneth Michiels won one of the VAF Wildcards. And ‘Asparragos’ by Laura Zuallaert won the ‘Lichtpunt’ prize on the International Short Film festival of Leuven. Congrats to both of them and don’t spend that all at once!

Just before the start of the summer, i mixed ‘Eenentwintig + Zeven’, the master project by Kenneth Michiels. It’s a 33min documentary that tells a very personal story in a unique way. Soon to be seen on a festival near you.

Full car recording

Now this is definitely on my to do list for the next couple of months. You can never have enough car sounds, even really common cars because that’s what most people drive anyway, isn’t it? So, i’m planning to do my first full car coverage recording (together with some fellow sound recordists) and let that be the start of ‘the common and everyday car library’. Anyone care to join? All cars admitted if not too exotic… Hit me up so we can start looking for a suitable quiet location…
